are your wings still kind enough

to forgive

what they have become

fallen angel

banished for deceit

heaven pulled from where you stood

sweet slavery 

or freedom bitter than your wine

rebel, to be free

or live in restraint, benign 

sinful dearest

Eden and your crime

unyielding evil

were you too, once, divine?
