Too much too often, 

We shared melancholy;

So hugged it tight 

And kept it close,

The moment we found

Our smiles, some glee.

For often in our travels nigh

We found those burdened passers by,

With skipping steps yet hollow eye. 

But just once of all those slippery times

We found a soul to share our cries

Not of sadness, but peaceful sighs.
