Prof. Hari’s research interests include development economics, specifically labour and employment in India, skilling, human development, economic growth, financing of human development and regional economic development. He also works in the area of Public Economics.

Prof. Hari teaches the core courses on Public Economics, Development Economics and Elective Course on Political Economy of India’s Development at the Institute. 

As the Dean of Research and the Director of Research and Development (R&D) Cell, Prof. Hari oversees the research activities of the Institute. He is also the Managing Editor of the Institute Journal, Arthavijnana.
