Reddy’s research focuses on policy-relevant issues in India, particularly in the domains of monetary macroeconomics, banking, and financial markets. His expertise encompasses the performance and operations of Indian banks, central banking, monetary policy transmission, and financial inclusion. He served as a member of the expert committee tasked with resolving the Rupee Cooperative Bank (RCB), Pune, established by the Board of Administrators (BOA) of RCB and GIPE. He has received scholarships from the Reserve Bank of India and Pondicherry Central University.

He teaches courses at the postgraduate level in various disciplines, including macroeconomics and finance, commercial banking, financial economics, financial institutions and markets, and treasury management in banks.

He is a member of the Executive Council of The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) from 2024 onwards. He served as the Member Secretary of the Vision and Roadmap Committee (VRC) at GIPE in 2022.

Presently, he holds the position of Dean of Students Affairs and Welfare (DSA) and Director of the Centre for Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Development (CEED) at GIPE.
