M.A. (Development Administration) (CPTP)

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between YASHADA, Pune, and Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, on 6/7/2022 and the subsequent approval from the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra (शासन निर्णय क्रमांक टिआरएन-0822/प्र.क्र.58/सीपीटीपी, दि. 13/9/2022), GIPE has been conducting this master’s program since 2022. GIPE and YASHADA have jointly designed the syllabus for the M.A. (Development Administration) Program to meet the needs of newly joined Class I and Class II trainee officials of the Government of Maharashtra under the “Combined Probationary Training Program (CPTP)”. After the successful completion of a two-year master’s program, GIPE awards an M.A. (Development Administration) degree to officials.

It is a unique programme only designed for newly joined Class I and Class II trainee officials of the Government of Maharashtra. This programme gives weightage to theory classes and practical learning from the respective Government Departments, while working as trainee officials in various cadres. The combination of theory and practical knowledge, and the overall learning outcomes during the attachment training period, is divided into four semesters

Four semesters have a total weightage of 1600 marks with 80 credits. Under this programme, Semester I covers the foundation course (5 courses = 500 Marks), Semester II covers Compulsory Department Attachments (4 attachment work reports = 400 Marks), Semester III covers Technical Subjects (Departmental Examination) (5 technical subjects = 500 Marks), and Semester IV covers Report Writings and Presentations (2 Reports = 200 Marks).
