About

Dr. Dayakar Peddi is an Assistant Professor at the Agro Economic Research Centre (AERC), Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune. He is an applied economist and his research/consulting assignments cuts across the domains of environment, ecosystem services, agriculture and land degradation. Before joining GIPE, he served as an Assistant Professor at Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), an ICSSR Institute, Hyderabad.

He has also worked as a Research Associate at Madras School of Economics, Chennai. Dr. Dayakar earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the Madras School of Economics, specializing in environmental  economics. He has conducted research projects funded by organizations such as the Telangana State Council of Science and Technology (TSCOST) & DST, Government of India, the Planning Department, Government of Telangana, and various NGOs. Currently, Dr. Dayakar is involved in projects funded by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.

Additionally, he has four years of teaching experience.
