On Friday, 27 February 2026, the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) in collaboration with Disseminare Consulting successfully hosted the maiden flagship programme under ORBIT² – the Executive Education Programme at GIPE, titled “AI Applications in Banking Operations: How to Build a Robust Foundation.” The full-day intensive workshop (9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) brought together academia, regulators, and industry leaders in a dynamic knowledge-sharing environment.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 31 senior officers representing 14 financial institutions, reflecting the growing urgency and strategic importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in banking operations, supervision, and financial stability
As India advances towards the goal of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” AI-driven transformation in the banking sector has emerged as a cornerstone for inclusive growth, scalable financial models, and innovation-led balance sheet expansion.
