About

Dilip is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Gokhale Institute. Before this, he was a scientific staff at the Institute of Agricultural Policy and Markets, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany.
His research interests are consumer behaviour and food, marketing of agricultural inputs and products, farm value chains, farmers’ collectives and farmer producer organisations, climate change, impact evaluation and ICT in Agriculture.
Dilip teaches Strategic Agro-Food Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at international conferences. He has completed projects on Agriculture and Rural Development for governments and industry.
Dilip has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University, Akola, and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences from the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri.
