Kiran Limaye is an Economist by training. He obtained his PhD from IGIDR, Mumbai. At present, he leads the research activity at Centre for Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Development at GIPE.

He works as a consultant for development organisations for designing of primary surveys and impact assessment studies. Apart from his research and teaching career, he is a founder of organisation SAJAG, which works in the domain of early school literacy.
