Gokhale Institute is hosting a research presentation titled โ€œ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐„๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ง๐ค ๐’๐ก๐จ๐œ๐ค๐ฌ,โ€ by ๐ƒ๐ซ ๐•๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ค ๐’๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐š from University of Lancaster Management School. The research explores the effects of bank shocks in an economy with established bank-firm lending relationships on Thursday, 5 September 2024.

The research also aims to understand how a negative bank shock, such as a shock to loan repayments, increases credit spreads, reduces bank credit, and causes a downturn in macroeconomic activity.
