Admission Process


The admission into the PG and UG programmes offered by the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics  (GIPE), Pune, will be done by the COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST- CUET- (CUET (UG) and CUET (PG) – 2026 and/ or  GIPE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST- GCET (GCET( UG) and GCET (PG) ) – 2026

  • Candidates who have appeared for the final degree examination during 2025-26 and whose results are awaited shall also be eligible to apply. 
  • Admission to such candidates will be “Provisional” till they provide the necessary documents.

  • A graduate degree in any discipline or stream that includes statistics as one of the courses.
As per the Government of India Policy
*GCET (UG) and GCET (PG) will be a centre-based examination. Details about GCET will be available on the website by the end of the last week of January 2026.  
  • A limited quota is available for foreign nationals, OCI cardholders, and NRIs. Admission for NRI candidates will be based on internal criteria decided by the Institute.  Sponsored NRI candidates must pass the entrance examinations. The eligibility criteria and selection process will be available in the brochure. Candidates can write their queries to admission@gipe.ac.in.
