The Post Graduate Programme in Financial Economics (PGPFE) offered by the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, is a uniquely designed one-year programme offering that blends both theory and practice. Students of this programme learn the theoretical aspects of quantitative finance, econometrics and development finance along with practical tools like MS Excel and Python in the first two trimesters, which is then followed by an Internship or Research Project in the third trimester. The PGPFE’s learning-cum-doing approach prepares students to take on challenging roles in industry upon graduation.
