About

Dilip is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Gokhale Institute. Before this, he was a staff member at the Agricultural Markets group, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany.

His research interests are consumer behaviour and food, marketing of agricultural inputs and products, farm value chains, farmers’ collectives and farmer producer organisations, impact evaluation and ICT in Agriculture.

Dilip teaches Agro-Food Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at international conferences. He has completed projects on Agriculture and Rural Development for governments and industry on topics such as Integrated Watershed Management, Irrigation and Agri-Value Chain.

Dilip has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University, Akola, and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences from the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri.
