About
Pattnaik holds a PhD degree from IIT Bombay prior to joining Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics he served Reserve Bank Of India nearly two and half decades as a policy economist. He was professor of Economics at S.P jain Institute of Management and Research and also K.J Somaya Institute of Management and Research in Mumbai. He was dean academics at IMT Hyderabad. Pattnaik was also consultant Economics to Axis bank and Asian Development Bank.
Pattnaik while serving RBI as a policy economist participated in Conferences/Seminars/ Annual meetings organized by IMF, World Bank, ADB and G20.
Currently Pattnaik at Gokhale Institute teaches Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Public Economics, Business Environment in Public Policy and Global Institution in Geopolitics and Geoeconomics.
Pattnaik is the coordinator in three M.Sc programes viz; Financial Economics, Public Policy and Geopolitics and Geoeconomics.
Pattnaik has Co-authored a book on Financial Markets and Institutions and has published research articles in national and international journals.
Pattnaik writes editorial, opinion columns in business line.
