Civil Service Experience (20 years)

1. Postmaster General (Head Quarter Region), Gujarat Circle, Ahmedabad (May 2018 – January 2020): Heading overall operations of Ahmedabad Postal Region comprising 6 revenue districts of Central and North Gujarat. Major projects handled include: setting up of the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) in Ahmedabad region, setting up of the office of exchange to handle foreign mails thereby giving boost to the exports in Gujarat. Brought the post offices, (both rural and urban), on an SAP platform with a view to have seamless integration of data. Geo-tagging of post offices.

2. Director Postal Services (Head Quarters), Odisha Circle, Bhubaneshwar (June 2015 to May 2018): Coordinating Director for Odisha Postal Circle, Projects handled include implementing Core Banking Solutions (CBS) across post offices in Odisha and managingthe transformative IT modernization project besides overseeing the day-to-day postal operations. Nodal officer, Odisha for the implementation of India Post Payments Bank.

3. Director Postal Services, Aurangabad Region of Maharashtra (July 2013 to June 2015): Responsible for Postal Operations of Aurangabad Region. Actively worked towards financial inclusion in the rural Marathwada. Also promoted the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, arguably one of the best schemes to promote the financial well-being of the girl child below ten years of age.

4. Director Postal Services (Speed Post & Mails), West Bengal Circle, Kolkata (February 2012 to July 2013): Responsible for mail operations in the state of West Bengal. Helped set up Automated Mail Processing Centre (AMPC).

5. Director Postal Services (Head Quarters), Madhya Pradesh Circle, Bhopal (August 2011 to January 2012): Co-coordinating director for the state of Madhya Pradesh.

6. Director Postal Services, Rajasthan Southern Region, Ajmer, India (July 2009 to August 2011): Was actively involved in the issues relating to National Rural Employment Guarantee Act wage payments through post offices. (Served area 94471.20 square kilometres with a population of 18 million). Total number of employees reporting directly or indirectly to me is 10,000. Actively engaged with the Civil Society Bodies like Mazdoor
Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) led by Ms. Aruna Roy and Nikhil De.

7. Director Postal Services, Goa and Konkan Region, Panaji, India. (November 2007 to July 2009): Promoted on Ad-hoc basis to JAG of India Postal Services Group ‘A’. Upgraded 11 post offices to international standards under the aegis of Project Arrow. (Served area 33,756 square kilometres with a population of 10 million).

8. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mumbai City (East) Division, Mumbai, India. (June 2006 to November 2007): Developed and tested a training module to impart soft skills to postal employees to instil Service orientation. Introduced Yoga training for the staff to help improve their productivity

9. Senior Superintendent, Air Mail Sorting Division, Mumbai, India. (October 2003 to June 2006): Promoted to Senior Time Scale Group ‘A’ on regular basis i.e. April 2004. Was responsible for the processing of both domestic and international mail of the entire western sector. Made several innovations in the handling of mail and optimized resources.

11. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mumbai City (East) Division, Mumbai, India. (August 2002 to October 2003): Set up a Business Centre to handle key corporate accounts. Was National Project Manager of the Pilot project on dematerialization of Saving Certificates (NSCs & KVPs) in collaboration with National Securities Depository Limited, Mumbai.

12. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Thane Central Division, Thane, India. (August 2001 to July 2002): Handled computerization and modernization of post offices. Welingkar Institute of Management developed a case study on the HR practices adopted.

13. Probationer Indian Postal Service Group ‘A’ (September 1999 to July 2001): Foundation course at LBSNAA, Mussoorie and specialized training at Postal Staff College, Ghaziabad, India. Field training at Mumbai, Pune, Alibaug, and Lonavala.
