Prof. Kedar Naik is an Assistant Professor of Geopolitics at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, and currently holds the administrative charge of Officer on Special Duty (OSD). He has postgraduate training in Political Science and International Relations and is presently pursuing doctoral research in Environmental Politics.

Prof. Naik has extensive teaching experience across multidisciplinary cohorts and has mentored several successful Civil Services aspirants in Delhi and Pune. His teaching engagements include courses in political theory, world politics, geopolitics, and environmental studies, including academic assignments in Kashmir.

He serves as a Visiting Faculty Member at the Maharashtra Intelligence Academy, where he contributes to the training of officers from the Intelligence Bureau, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and State Intelligence units. He has earlier served as Dean (In-Charge), School of Liberal Arts, at Ajeenkya DY Patil University.

Prof. Naik is a co-author of two books that are recommended texts for the School of Open Learning, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). He regularly contributes to leading newspapers and magazines and participates in policy and media discussions on contemporary political and geopolitical issues.

His academic interests include political theory, geopolitics, environmental politics, world politics, history, and philosophy.
