Dr Mishra has a Ph.D degree in Economics and had a stint as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Economics Department of Harvard University, USA
A central banker for over four decades, he was the Executive Director at RBI – INDIA’s Central Bank – in charge of Supervision (and SupTech) of Commercial Banks, Urban Cooperative Banks & Non- Banking Financial Companies in India.
He was the Founder Director of “College of Supervisors” a new capacity building institution established by Reserve Bank of INDIA for the personnel in the Supervision, Regulation and Financial Stability space in India and other jurisdictions. The aim of this institution is to create capable functionaries who can help reduce the probability of distress in the financial systems.
He had earlier held the positions of the Head of Risk Monitoring, Founder Head of Financial Stability and the Principal of the apex Training Institute of RBI for its officers. He had also taught ‘Risk Based Supervision’ as a member of faculty there.
He had worked as a member in the Boards of two big Commercial Banks in India and in the Board of Supervision of NABARD. He was the Co-Chair of the Expert Committee of IRDAI to enhance Risk Based Supervision for the Insurance Sector.
He had served as a member of the Analytical Group on Vulnerabilities (of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), Switzerland, a forum in which the Financial Stability Heads of all the G20 nations used to meet every quarter to discuss issues of macro-economic vulnerabilities lurking in any part of the globe and designing possible policy.
He was in the Steering Committee of Global Central Bank Risk Managers. This Committee has membership of 45 Central Banks; whose Risk Heads discuss about various risk monitoring methodologies and as to how to steer them in containing damages from emerging Risks lurking all around now.
He had helped setting up of the Macro-Financial Surveillance Architecture for India as well as for the Sultanate of Oman.
He was the Administrative Head of RBI in the provincial States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand during which he had led the cause of Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy in those States.
His professional expertise hinges on Macroeconomic Policy issues, Bank Regulation/Supervision, Financial Crisis Management & Resolution, Macro-Financial Surveillance and GRACE (Governance, Risk, Assurance, Conduct and Ethics) Standards in Financial / Corporate Firms.

Pravin I. Dhotre is a Post Graduate in Applied Economics with over four years of research experience in applied economics, public policy, and development studies. His research interests and professional work span financial inclusion, macroeconomic stability, rural development, migration, and socio-economic impact assessment, combining rigorous quantitative techniques with extensive field-based research.
Pravin has also contributed to state government–supported ethnographic research, notably the Ethnographic Study of the Yellmar Community, conducted in collaboration with BARTI, Government of Maharashtra, focusing on social exclusion, cultural practices, and evidence-based policy pathways for the inclusion of marginalized communities.
He has been associated with an ICSSR-funded research project assessing the socio-economic impact of the Start-Up India Programme in Western Maharashtra, with special emphasis on reverse migration, employment generation, and regional development. This work received the ICSSR Best Research Award and was published in a Q1-ranked international journal publication.
Purva Borkar

Purva Borkar is a Post Graduate in Economics having good experience of handling administrative functions as she was a part of the IGNOU study centre of her college during her graduation. She also had assisted her college office in the conduct of the SPPU examination and paper assessment. She has to her credit a couple of certificate courses of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. She has even completed courses in tableau and R. At present she is taking lessons in econometrics and python. She enjoys listening to Hindustani Classical music.
