  1. How will I get information about admission process and eligibility?

Ans: Institute publishes almost all information through a brochure and regularly on website. Students are requested to visit institute website regularly at www.gipe.ac.in

  1. What is the eligibility criteria for M.A. (Economics)?

Ans: Candidates seeking admission to M.A. (Economics) programme must secure at least 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST reserved category candidates) at graduation level (B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com./B.Tech/ Etc)

  1. What is the eligibility criteria for M.Sc. (Economics)?

Ans: The Indian citizens seeking admission to M.Sc. (Economics), M.Sc. (Financial Economics), M.Sc. (Agribusiness Economics), M.Sc. (International Business Economics & Finance), M. Sc.

(Population Studies and Health Economics) and M.Sc.(Public Policy) must secure at least 50 %

marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST reserved category candidates) at graduation level.

  1. After Completing  B.A. Am I Eligible for M.Sc. (Economics)?

Ans: Yes, Candidates seeking admission to M.A. (Economics) programme must secure at least 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST reserved category candidates) at graduation level.

  1. What is the difference between M.A. (Economics) and M.Sc. (Economics)?

Ans: M.A. (Economics) is more theoretical with less mathematics whereas M.Sc. (Economics) and other allied major programs are more mathematical and students need to have mathematical knowledge.

  1. What is reservation criteria of GIPE?

Ans: For M.Sc. (Economics) GIPE follows reservation criteria set by Central Government of India.

And for M.A. (Economics) GIPE follows reservation criteria set by State Government of Maharashtra.

  1. Do GIPE have Management Quota?

Ans: No, GIPE doesn’t have any Management Quota, the admission is purely based on merit rank and preferences to the respective program.

  1. What is the intake capacity of programs under M.Sc. (Economics)?

Ans: 60 seats per program.

  1. What is the intake capacity of program under M.A. (Economics)?

Ans: 60 seats.

  1. Is there any scholarship or free ship from given by GIPE?

Ans: No, GIPE does not give any scholarship or free ship. Students should apply on their own for State and National Scholarships whichever they are entitled for in their respective post graduate program and Institute will help them in documentation support purpose.

  1. Is Non Creamy Layer certificate required along with the OBC Certificate?

Ans: Yes, OBC Certificate issued for Central Government purpose along with Non Creamy Layer certificate issued for current financial year is mandatory to seek reservation in that quota otherwise such student will be listed in general category.

  1. What is the time of conduct of Lecture in GIPE?

Ans: Generally for M.A. (Economics) and M.Sc. (Economics) the Lectures start from 9:00 a.m. till  6:00 p.m. with a lunch break from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. but not limited to given time period it may get extended in case of extra lectures.

  1. Do GIPE have placements?

Ans: Yes, We have an in-house placement cell working for placement of our students of M.A. (Economics) and M.Sc. (Economics). You may visit our website to check the placement record of past year.

  1. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree from other university can I still take admission and complete my second degree from GIPE?

Ans: GIPE offers fulltime program and so the attendance requirement is 75 %  along with other activities as per requirement of program. Kindly note that less than 75% attendance may lead to debar the students. 

  1. Is admission application fee refundable? 

Ans: No, It is non-refundable.
